Michael Burry Makes Lululemon His Largest Holding as Short Positions Top 21%
Michael Burry disclosed a fresh portfolio adjustment through his Substack account on Sept. 9, with Lululemon becoming his largest long position after an increase to a 17.4% weighting. MercadoLibre ranked second at 12%, while Molina Healthcare and Temple & Webster each accounted for 9%. Burry also held long positions in Adobe, Zoetis, JD.com, HCA Healthcare, Flutter, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Sprouts, PayPal, Veeva, Birkenstock, Build-A-Bear and Nvidia, with Nvidia also used as a hedge. His short positions, ranked by size, included the iShares Semiconductor ETF, Micron, Nebius, CoreWeave, Oracle, Palantir, Nvidia, Caterpillar and the Invesco QQQ Trust. The QQQ put position represented about 6% of the portfolio. Excluding that put position, total short exposure exceeded 21%. Burry also closed his Tesla and Applied Materials shorts for a profit, sold all SOXX puts and shifted the exposure into larger QQQ puts.
